Youth powering democracy in Europe
YouthPowerEU is a youth-led European campaign and Erasmus+ KA154-YOU project turning young people’s voices into political influence — strengthening democratic participation and advocating for fairer access to elected office in Italy and Greece.
Young enough to vote, young enough to stand.
Founded by Eduxo.eu – European Network for Democracy and Equality in May 2024, YouthPowerEU began as a campaign challenging the age barriers that prevent young people from standing for election to the European Parliament.
Today, it has evolved into a multi-partner Erasmus+ project bringing together young people, civil society organisations and decision-makers across Europe. The project is carried out by a consortium of four partners: One Hour for Europe Italia, InterAlia, Europiamo ETS, RadUni, with the support as associate partner of Eduxo.eu
Through participation, advocacy and storytelling, YouthPowerEU equips young people to engage with institutions, shape public debate and campaign for more inclusive political representation.
Because democracy is stronger when young people can do more than be consulted — they can stand, lead and decide.
